INITIALIZE

Welcome to the May issue of Aural Fix Communique!

I've been working a lot of hours between my freelance graphic gig, The Inside Connection Local Scene (and associated promotions!) and of course, all things Aural!

Last month we celebrated our sixth year in print and 9th year on the internet. To celebrate we held our now infamous anniversary party at the ever wonderful Mr. Beery's! Read all about it on the Feature page.

Reign of Angels played a couple of gigs recently and even tried a couple of new songs. We'll be working on some more new songs for May and return to gigging in June.

This month Joann Gullo, publisher of The Inside Connection and myself kick off a new expanded version of RadioXposed on RadioX. (Log on to www.radiox.fm if you're not in Suffolk County, NY to listen to the web stream.)

To make time for this latest endeavor I had to drop the Retro Fix show on WebRadioWCWP (hey, there's only so much of me to go around!). I'll be doing more pre-recorded versions of Aural Fix Transmission as well. We're not ready for live guests on RadioX yet, but you can send your CD's in. We're looking for mostly material that fits in with the current RadioX format (alternative rock, pop punk, emo, some loud rock and metal, etc.)

Another project I'm involved with is a college resource web site that I will be the Music Editor for. Right now it's in beta, but I'll be announcing an official launch date for it soon. I have some new writers, but I'm looking for more. Since I haven't figured out how to clone myself yet (even though Tom Cavanagh of the Bent Pussycat empire and myself are working feverishly on it!) - I'm looking for Auralites. So if you have writing abilities (or any other pertinent special powers) get in touch.

I'm also looking for sales people - yes, being I am the Willy Loman of sales, it's high time to hire the real deal. So if you have sales acumen, and experience - and would like to sell ads for us part time or full time, get in touch! Apparently all my Aural megalomaniac plans require capital...
