Aural Fix Communique
It all started when we began printing a photocopied zine with the auralisland.com two year anniversary, since we were frustrated at our lack of coverage from our established local media. No one would give us press, but they all wanted our money for ads in their publications! Well we decided to invest that money in ourselves and our local music community, with our own publication!
Already an online favorite with local musicians, the handmade zine developed quite a cult following, to the point where it was outpacing our ability to produce it. So after numerous attempts to launch it through partnerships with various organizations and local music organizations failed, Mike Ferrari took out a 401K loan and launched it himself through Aural Island.
Now you can take Aural Fix with you on the train, the coffee shop, (the toilet...) So pick up a copy and tell your friends!
