WCWP loves to feature local artists! Try to request to be on the show when you have something going on: a cd release party, a first gig, a BIG gig, brand new songs to try out. Do a little preparation before coming on the show. Know what cuts you want to play off your cd. Have your upcoming dates written down (it's ok to bring notes!). Know what songs you want to play live.

Remember to speak into the mic with your mouth about a fist away from the microphone for best audio levels.

The interviews are usually on the hour for the different genres. There are two mics for guests. Use one for lead vocals (and if also playing an acoustic the mic will also pick up the guitar) and the other for additional acoustic guitars, plus any percussion (it will pick everyone up if they stay close around the mic).

I usually work it depending on how many acoustic songs you'll be playing and cuts from the cd. Usually one or two 15 minute segments, when I was on FM, but now that we are on WebRadio wew can go longer if we need to. It will usually start with a cd cut, do some chat, play an acoustic, then discuss a little. Repeat as necessary. End with plugging upcoming shows, cd releases and website.
